PTFE shovels offer several significant advantages over plastic or metal shovels, especially in chemical processing and high-temperature environments. Here are the main advantages of PTFE shovels:
1. Excellent chemical inertness:
PTFE shovel: It has extremely high chemical resistance, hardly reacts with any chemical substances, and can withstand corrosive chemicals such as strong acids, strong alkalis, oxidants, and solvents. Suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries that need to handle corrosive substances.
Plastic shovel: Some plastic materials may react with certain chemicals, and are not as chemically stable as PTFE and have a shorter service life.
Metal shovel: Some metals (such as stainless steel) have good corrosion resistance to certain chemicals, but in extreme environments such as strong acids and alkalis, corrosion or oxidation reactions may still occur.
2. High temperature resistance:
PTFE shovel: Can withstand temperatures up to 260°C and will not melt or decompose in extreme temperatures, making it ideal for high temperature processes.
Plastic shovel: Most plastic materials are easy to melt and deform under high temperatures, and have poor heat resistance.
Metal shovel: Metal usually has good high temperature resistance, but it will oxidize or deform under certain high temperatures, and has strong thermal conductivity, making it easy to burn your hands when using it.
3. Non-stick performance:
PTFE shovel: It has very good non-stick properties, a smooth surface, and almost no substances will stick to it. It is especially suitable for handling sticky or easy-to-adhere materials.
Plastic shovel: does not have excellent non-stick properties and may leave residue after use, making cleaning inconvenient.
Metal shovel: It is easy for substances to adhere to the surface, especially at high temperatures and when handling sticky substances, making cleaning difficult.
4. Anti-pollution and high purity:
PTFE shovel: Does not release any impurities or contaminants and is widely used in industries with high purity requirements, such as semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and laboratory research.
Plastic shovels: Some plastic materials may release harmful substances when exposed to high temperatures or in contact with chemicals and are not suitable for high-purity environments.
Metal shovels: Certain metals may release trace amounts of metal ions due to corrosion or oxidation, contaminating the material.
5. Wear resistance and lifespan:
PTFE shovel: Although not as hard as metal, it has good wear resistance and has a long service life in chemical and high-temperature environments.

6. Electrical insulation:

Plastic shovel: Some plastics have some electrical insulation properties, but are not as stable as PTFE in extreme environments.
